About CVMate
Career tools made for people who want clarity, not hype.
Built by someone who needed better tools
I'm Bissane, an indie maker based in Stockholm. CVMate started as a craft project: I wanted a CV builder that cared about readability as much as looks, and interview practice that actually listened to my answers.
Most tools I tried were either too generic, too pushy, or full of claims they could not back up. So I built CVMate to do the opposite: ATS-parseable structure, honest feedback, and a simple promise — your data stays yours.
What began as a side project grew into the tool I use for my own applications. CVMate is still small, opinionated, and built by a human — not a growth team.
What CVMate does
Four tools that cover the essentials of a modern job search.
CV builder
Clean, readable layouts. Drag-and-drop sections. Export to PDF or DOCX.
Cover letters
Tailor a letter to a job ad, or write your own with a clear structure.
ATS check
Test how parseable your CV is against a job description. We estimate reading order and keyword coverage — not recruiter outcomes.
Interview practice
Practice with questions generated from a real job ad and get feedback on pacing, clarity, and follow-ups.
What we believe
A few rules that guide how CVMate is built and priced.
No invented proof
We do not publish user counts, success rates, or testimonials we cannot verify.
Clear limits
We say what the ATS check can and cannot predict, and what is free versus paid.
Your data stays yours
We do not sell CV content, share data with brokers, or train models on your documents.
Built by a real person
No anonymous corporation. When you write support, you talk to the person who builds the product.
How we make money
CVMate is funded by simple paid plans. There are no ads, no data brokers, and no selling of your CV content. Upgrade when you need more; keep the free tools when you do not.
A note from the founder
I still read almost every support email. If something feels off, tell me — I want this tool to stay useful and honest.
